Breakfast- Report to the first floor conference room by 8:15 dressed in your gown. Enter through the front doors.
Be sure the labels are in your gowns. We need to identify your gown for later.

We will process over to the church together, so be on time.
After mass, again meet me in the conference room so you can hang up your gowns. Then you may go into the breakfast.

For Tuesday, please bring in a box. Students will be making suitcases in class, similar to the ones that the immigrants carried through Ellis Island. You will decorate these boxes with fabric, buttons, string, and of course paint. We will begin this project on Tuesday. Students were told of all the supplies that they could use.
****Some students still have not brought in their baby picture blown up. We want the face to be the focal point of the blow up.
All science worksheets must be in by Tuesday.
We will also be beginning the concrete poem on Tuesday. Think over the weekend what you would like your outline to be.

****Monday we begin Catholic School Week. Here are some specifics to help you.
Monday morning- Religion bee- Study church history. Winner gets a dress down day
Tuesday- Parents are invited to come see the performance of the "Sinking of the Maine" We will begin promptly at 9. Students are to wear their costumes to school. However it is a gym day. I told the class that they may carry their gym suits and sneakers and change to go to gym.
Wednesday- Career Day We have a wide plethora of people coming to talk to our children. They will be learning about different careers they can pursue.
We are asking students to bring in refreshments for the guests. If you could make a batch of cookies, cupcakes, or brownies, we would be very appreciative. (Small batches- one per family) It will begin at 12:30pm but we are flexible in where you can be placed in the program.
Thursday- Color Wars. I hope that students have been collecting everything red that they could wear for color wars. I am.
Friday- Dance-a-thon The dance a thon will be Friday afternoon from 12:30-2pm Parents are invited to join us. Bring your fancy dance steps with you that day. LOL. I've been studying the dance moves to "Thriller" We will be handing out tee shirts on Monday. You can wear your tee shirt plus gym pants that day. Also, please donate to the Cystic Fibrosis foundation.

To all incoming seventh and eighth grade parents. It has been brought to my attention that Pearson Realize has experienced some technological issues. Therefore, the summer assignments are no longer available and the assignments that I gave the students will not be able to be completed. I would ask that you direct your children to instead work on Kahn Academy over the summer, reinforcing topics and math skills that we worked on during the year. I look forward to working with your children in the fall.
