First Day of School is September 8th, 2021. This first week of school will be a shortened staggered schedule for 3K, PKFA and Kindergarten. Please read below schedule carefully.

3K & Pre-K for ALL Classes:
Students with last names beginning with letters A – L 8:30-10:00 AM
Students with last names beginning with letters M – Z 10:30-12:00 PM
Kindergarten:
Students with last names beginning with letters A – L 8:30-10:00 AM
Students with last names beginning with letters M – Z 10:30-12:00 PM
Grades 1 though 8th:
Full Day of School for all students attending grades first through eighth 7:50 AM-2:30 PM.

3K & Pre-K for ALL Classes:
All students will attend class for a half-day 8 AM-11 AM.
Kindergarten:
All students will attend class for a half-day 8 AM-11 AM.
Grades 1 though 8th:
All students will attend a full day of school 7:50 AM-2:30 PM.

MONDAY, September 13th, 2021 will be regular school schedule following your particular times for a full day of school. 3K & PKFA 8:00 AM-2:20 PM and Grades K-8 7:50 AM-2:30 PM.
PARENT ORIENTATION (Mandatory):
*Please also review separate document on arrival and dismissal procedures.
ARRIVAL: Please plan good morning routines so your child may be on time and ready to have a good day. Students must be present in their classrooms at the designated start time. It is in EVERYONE’S BEST INTEREST that you arrive to school ON TIME. Parents, please view our lateness policy in the Parent/Student Handbook.
DISMISSAL: Parents of 3K & PKFA can use the church parking lot or the school parking lot. Please note all grades K – 8 are dismissing @ 2:30. Parents should enter only through the Castleton Avenue driveway; park your car, retrieve child/children and exit using Castleton Avenue. 3K for All will be dismissed at 2:20 through the Gym glass doors and PKFA from their classroom doors. Children will be dismissed only to parents or parent authorized persons written on the school emergency contact form. There may be no Fax or phone requests. Students and parents must leave the school premises immediately, no lingering or running in the grassy area.
PARKING LOT:
TUITION/FEES – Grades Kindergarten – 8th
Tuition accounts must be up-to-date before the first day of school.
UNIFORMS – Pre-K
Gym Unifoms are worn everyday (there is a summer (SHS T-shirt & shorts) and winter option (sweatshirt and sweatpants).

UNIFORMS – Grades Kindergarten – 8th
Everyone needs to be in complete Sacred Heart uniform from the first day of school with correct school shoes. Please refer to the Parent/Student Handbook or the Sacred Heart School website for uniform guidelines including general grooming, hairstyles, jewelry, etc. Students (Gr. K-8) may wear their summer unform (optional) black walking shorts with gray polo shirt and all white sneakers until October 30th, weather permitting.
LUNCH
We are currently working to implement a DOE Child Nutrition Program for all students. Lunch is provided free for all 3K & PKFA students.
Grades Kindergarten - 8: more details regarding lunch will be provided shortly. We are planning on providing the DOE Child Nutrition Program for all students, details to follow.
MORNING CARE/AFTER CARE PROGRAMS
We recently sent out a Parent Survey regarding Morning and After-Care. Please check your email and ensure you have replied if interested in either or both of these services. In order to implement these services, we need to know how many students and from which grades before a plan can be implemented. We plan to begin these services on September 13th.
*Please note payment options for Morning & After-Care will be sent out on the first day of school. We will be accepting check or money orders, no cash.
SCHOOL BUS SERVICE
School bus service will begin on Monday, September 13th. Please refer to the information sheet, which will be sent home on the first day of school.
