Investigation 3: Where do we get our clothes?
Investigation 4: How do people make clothes?
Things you can do at home:
-When picking out clothing with your child, have a conversation about the different colors, patterns, and features (buttons, zippers, any embellishments) on their clothing. Talk about the weather and how that might change what we wear (colder weather might mean sweaters or long sleeve shirts, etc.)
-Sorting. Grab a pile of clothing in your home and have your child sort by different attributes (colors, patterns, size, clothing type, etc.)
-Have a conversation about how to care for clothing in your own home. Show your child the steps to doing laundry and what that might look like in your home vs other homes. Talk about what happens to clothes when we can no longer use them (donate, reuse for other purposes, etc.)
